Peanut PhotoHi There! My name is Peanut! I’m a “sugarplum cheeky monkey” – at least that’s what my name tag says. But my owners named me Peanut because I remind them of Jeff Dunham’s Peanut.

I come from Colorado. Manitou Springs to be exact. I was hanging out in a store there, when my owners came in one day. When they saw me they thought I’d make a good gift for a friend’s daughter, but I was so charming that they decided to keep me for themselves!

Now, my mission in life is to travel!

Have you ever heard of Geocaching? It’s a really fun game you play using a GPS. There are containers hidden all over the world, and some contain what they call “trackables”. Trackables are items that have a serial number on them, and when someone finds them, they go on the Geocaching.com website and log the discovery. Then, they’ll take the trackable item, also known as a travel bug, to another cache somewhere else. The owner of the travel bug can go online to see where their trackable is right now, and where it’s been!

My owners wanted me to be travel bug, but I want to stay with them! So, they made a travel bug out of a photo of me, and that gets to travel around instead. But what’s even cooler is that I’m actually a trackable travel bug too – so I visit caches with my owners, but I don’t stay there. (I like my warm bed at home!)

I’ll be posting photos of my adventures as I travel from place to place. I look forward to seeing this big world, and meeting some of you out there! If you ever see me, be sure to say hi!
